After the Rain

It's been a long stretch of rain the past few weeks. The weather finally cleared today, with sunlight streaming through and puffy, cotton clouds in the blue sky. Work has been getting busier of late, so we took the opportunity to lazily sleep in and take a leisurely walk around the neighborhood. 

I've been in love with all the flowers blooming around us and perhaps taking too many photos at the same time.

Along our walk this morning, my husband bought me a mini bouquet of mini blush roses that are sitting next to the window sill now. I love how after all the time we've been together already, there's always something sweet about our every day. They say it wears off after the honeymoon period, but I can't say it ever has.

Since we were in desperate need of coffee after our late lunch food coma, but we also wanted ice cream, we got coffee ice cream! One of my new favorite ice cream brands is Salt & Straw. They have the creamiest ice cream and tasty, unique flavor blends. We were extremely excited to see Sight Glass Coffee & Dandelion Chocolate as a flavor option. Both are brands we love! So while it was still chilly outside, we bundled in our scarves and enjoyed our ice cream.

We picked up a meringue lemon and strawberry cream puff from Le Marais Bakery and found a spot at Dolores Park to sit. It was a perfect day, clear enough to see most of downtown San Francisco and early enough in the season that it wasn't crowded at all.
