Golden Hour Among the Hills

We had my mother-in-law over for her birthday weekend, inviting several family members to come celebrate together. After everyone left for home, we drove up the mountain to watch the sunset and found ourselves drifting into a comfortable silence. We listened to the grass rustling in the wind and watched the colors turn golden as the sun faded below the horizon.

For a moment here, it didn’t feel like we were near home and the city at all.

When it started getting chilly, we packed up and started the drive back home. After some tea around the table, we slowly got ready for bed and called it a night.
