Mid Century High Tea at Dandelion Bloom Salon

We spent the afternoon enjoying a chocolaty teatime at Dandelion’s recently opened Bloom Salon. If you haven’t heard of Dandelion, they make small batch chocolates in San Francisco. Their decadent hot chocolate is also a must try. For those who are interested, Dandelion also offers tours of the chocolate factory.

The menu is extensive with varieties of snacks, chocolate, coffee, and teas. If you can’t decide, there are chocolate teas and chocolate coffees. Check out the full menu here. Our group ordered tea and mochas, along with the Chocolate Service. My one regret is not trying their Hojicha Hot Chocolate, which is blended with one of my favorite teas.

The tiers here show what two orders of Chocolate Service look like. My husband finished an entire order on his own, but he later admitted we could have shared as well. I loved the mini chocolate souffles in their little copper pots:

One of my favorites was this Earl Grey cream puff:

We also ordered the “Chocolate Pause” shown below, which is “a pot of hot chocolate with an assortment of light bites including madeleines, churros, and savory crackers.” I loved the individual dipping sauces. Given the sugar rush, the waitress was kind enough to let me substitute the pot of hot chocolate with their House Mocha.

We tried these miniature chocolate cakes, courtesy of Dandelion before finishing our high tea afternoon. I’m thankful to my husband who discovered Bloom Salon and for making us reservations here! Until next time!
